Deleting or Restoring Customers

How to delete/archive or restore a customer in Gas Engineer Software.

Customers can only be deleted or restored on our web portal - please log in to the website here before proceeding.


Note: In Gas Engineer Software, deleted customers are moved to your account's archive. This means that their data is not completely lost and can be recovered.

Deleting a customer

  1. Navigate to the "Customers" page
    In the top navigation bar, click on "Customers":

  2. Locate the customer

    Use the search box to find the customer you wish to delete:

  3. Open and delete the customer

    Once you open the customer's profile, click the "Delete" button on the right panel:

  4. Confirm what you want to delete
    After clicking "Delete", a pop-up will appear. Your customer may have job addresses, jobs, and appliances stored under their name.

    Here, you can select whether you would like to keep this customer-related data or delete it as well.

    Select the items you wish to delete and then click "Yes":

Restoring a customer

  1. Navigate to the "Customers" Section
    In the top navigation bar, locate and click on "Customers".

  2. Navigate to the "Archived" section

    On the customer page, find and click on the "Archived" tab.

  3. Click on the customer you want to restore

    You can use the search box to find the deleted customer if needed

  4. Restore the customer

    Once on the customer's page, you'll see a "Restore" button located on the right. Click it, and a popup will appear:

  5. Choose what data you want to restore
    Your customer may have had job addresses, jobs, and appliances stored under their name.

    Here, you can select whether you would like to restore this customer-related data as well.

    Select the items you wish to restore and then click "Yes":
