While all certificates can be created on the web portal, the app is more commonly used to create certificates in the field.

Creating Your First Record on the App

Records created in Gas Engineer Software are linked to both a Customer and Job Address. You will be prompted to enter this information when creating a new certificate.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Tap "New Record"

  2. Tap on the record you want to create. In our example, we're creating a "Homeowner Gas Safety Record"

Tip: You can star your most frequently created records to keep them at the top of this list.

  3. Tap "New Job" or select an existing Job

  4. Fill out the record until you get to the signature screen.

From here, you'll have a few options:

  1. "Save" the record (useful if you're not finished or need to do something else with your device first).

  2. Return to the "Home" page of the app (the record will still be saved).

  3. "Approve" the record - this will allow you to issue the record (You can go back and edit via the "existing forms and records" tab at any time)

Issuing the record

In most cases, you will want to issue the record and send it to your customer.

  1. Tap "Approve".

  2. Here you have the option to "Email" or "Preview" the record or to cancel. If we click preview, you can have a look at the finished certificate:

  3. Tapping "Email" will bring you up to this screen:

The email content is pulled from your template, which can be edited in your email template settings.

  4. Click "Send" to send the email to your customer with the record attached.
