You can subscribe to your Gas Engineer Software calendar from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any other calendar app that supports calendar feeds. Once it's connected, your jobs appear automatically in your chosen calendar and stay up to date as things change in Gas Engineer Software.
How it works
Each user gets their own private calendar feed URL. Paste it into your calendar app once, and your scheduled jobs will appear there automatically.
A few things to know before you start:
It's a one-way sync: changes you make in Gas Engineer Software flow into your personal calendar. Your personal events will not sync back into Gas Engineer Software.
Subscribed events are read-only in your external calendar. To make a change, edit the event in Gas Engineer Software and the calendar feed will update.
The feed includes 90 days of past jobs and 180 days ahead to keep your calendar tidy.
Updates can take a few minutes to appear, depending on how often your calendar app fetches the feed.
Your feed URL is unique and personal — keep it private.
Apple Calendar refreshes every 5-60 minutes, Google Calendar refreshes every 12-24 hours.

Other calendars
The calendar feed URL works with any application that supports the standard calendar feed format (sometimes called an ICS or iCal feed). If you're using a different calendar app, look for an option such as "Add calendar from URL", "Subscribe to calendar", or "Add internet calendar", and paste your feed URL there. Refer to your calendar app's help documentation for exact steps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why aren't my jobs showing up yet?
Calendar apps fetch the feed on their own schedule, which can be anywhere from a few minutes to several hours depending on the app. If your jobs haven't appeared after a few minutes, try refreshing the calendar manually in your calendar app, or wait a little longer for it to sync.
Can I edit a job from my Google or Apple Calendar?
No. Subscribed events are read-only in your external calendar. To edit a job, open Gas Engineer Software, make the change there, and the update will flow through to your subscribed calendar automatically.
Will my personal events sync into Gas Engineer Software?
No. The integration is one-way only. Events you create in Gas Engineer Software show up in your personal calendar, but events from your personal calendar do not appear in Gas Engineer Software.
How long do events stay in the feed?
Your calendar feed includes events from 90 days in the past up to 180 days in the future. Older events are automatically removed.
What happens if a job is cancelled or reassigned?
Cancelled events will show as cancelled in your calendar for a short period, then drop off the feed. If a job is reassigned to another engineer, it will disappear from your feed and appear in theirs.
How do I stop syncing?
Remove or unsubscribe from the calendar in your calendar app. The exact steps depend on your app — usually you can right-click the calendar in the sidebar and choose Unsubscribe or Delete.
Is my feed URL secure?
Your feed URL is unique and personal. Anyone with the URL can view your job calendar, so don't share it. If you ever need to invalidate it, contact support.
