If you have duplicate customers, we can suggest two options:
Delete the oldest version and keep the newest.
You cannot permanently delete a user without asking us to do so. Instead, this action archives the customer, meaning you can restore them later if needed.
We recommend adding a note on the newer customer profile that this has been done.The second option is more time-consuming. It involves re-creating any jobs and records under the one that has the most history, and then archiving the duplicate.
In this way, you will have all the history under one contact, and not need to refer to an archived one.
Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to merge duplicate customers or job addresses in Gas Engineer Software. ,
However, we intend to implement this feature in the future as it is highly requested by our users.
